Hiya,
I went to Goa this time last year but when on arrival at Dabolim we had hotel transport arranged to take us to Baga Beach. I remember we thought what a rip-off it was and if only we'd known how much cheaper it would have been to pick up a taxi when we arrived.
I'm heading back there next week but can't remember how many rupees you would expect to pay from the Airport to Baga and then from Baga to Palolem. Can anyone tell me the general rule/rate for taxis fares in Goa?

have been there many times in the last year.
Pay in the airport and you will be charged 800-1000
A pre-paid taxi (once you leave the airport building its on the left) is about 650
walk out the airport, and could get it for 550/600
A pre-paid taxi is probably best
And sorry i can not help with pallolem/ general rule (as there is one but they do not use it)

well a couple years ago. i paid 450/500 from airport to baga, there's a taxi office just as you come out of airport, you pay them and its a fixed rate. palolem might set you back about 6/7 hundred may be a bit more

My Dear Friend transportation is little expensive in Goa.. if you go directly to a taxi driver and ask for the charges they usually charge INR 300 for 6 km and it always advisable to go through a travel agent they can arrange everything at lower cast at lest cheaper than this. .bagha beach is near about 50-55 km from the airport.
