Conservatives started it. I'm not sure which ones were involved but they used FOX Noise to spread it.

Im sure the guys who started the smear campaign against Gore probably are the ones who smeared John Kerry with the swift boat mud.
Nonetheless they do have a point, Al gore aint exactly innocent either in contributing to the global warming with excessive usage in electricity and private jets.
BUT despite all that, THERE IS NOT 1 EVIDENCE that them republicans spout out that dispute global warming which is the important part of Al Gore's message to the world.

Well lets see how about this.
Al Gore is making money off it.
Al Gore is living one kind of lifesytle but wants everyone else to live another.
Al Gore is lieing to us and his experts he quoted are now changing their mind.
I am all in favor of cleaning up the enviroment but don't lie to me.
Al Gore open this when he said Debate is over.
Please remember how those who question man made global warming were consider the same level as deniers of the holocaust.
The smear starts with Al.
So go ask him.

Al Gore started it by having a house that requires $1000 worth of electricity to run it. By cutting down a row of trees in a rain forest so he coud give his speech on "saving the rain forests". You think he actually cares about the environment, trust me he's just playing you, he wants to further his political aspiration so this is the band wagon he thinks will do it. Stop drinking the kool aid and think for yourself!

I would say Al Gore did. Pretentious people like Al Gore are easy to mock. I don't think he deserves it, but the smear will not stop.

Ignore the man behind the curtain! The great Oz has spoken.
Pointing out a scam artist is hardly a "smear campaign". Why should we bow to the world's greed, give up our freedom, and hamstring our economy so you can have pretty trees?

So pointing hypocrisy and challenging his ideas is a smear campaign? Interesting how you don't accept the idea of debate and a diversity of ideas.

What smear? He is a hypocrite. Did you see all the electricity in his house being used, how bout his private jet? I am sure that doesn't use a lot of gas.

He did with his Hypocrisy. It's not that we don't want to help the environment, we just don't want people getting rich mearly for backing something that they don't really feel strongly about.
