I'm old ! I learned to whistle using this animals lisp. It was a TV commercial from the 50s, but I'll be darned if I can recall the animal or product. Seems like a beaver but am not sure. He said, "Say Sonny" with a lisp . I lived in Southern California & we got a Sears Silvertone TV in 1948 or 50. So remember it well ! Sort of! Ha!

I'm thinking Foghorn Leghorn or Sylvester the cat. Warner brothers cartoons I believe. Maybe you can search Warner Bros. cartoons and get a more definitive answer.

The beaver from Winnie the Poo. But I think there's another less known character too, I just can't think of him.
EDIT: It was the groundhog from Poo. At first I thought it was a mole, but then everyone here was saying the beaver, but you're right, it was the groundhog.

That is the groundhog in Winnie the Pooh, and the beaver in Lady and the Tramp.
I have kids so I see these movies daily!
