Will Gordon Brown perform well enough as Prime Minister and change things enough, for the Labour Party to regain lost support and win the next election?

As a former Labour supporter, I have to say its very unlikely that I'll vote for them again at the next election. I think Brown perhaps will change things for the better, but probably not by enough to get my vote. I reckon if he wants to win back enough popularity to win the election, he would have to take the following steps.

1. Reverse the governments planned introduction of ID cards.

2. Cede more power to the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly so that devolution can work the way it should.

3. Apologise officially for the Labour government illegally taking us into the Iraq War based on lies and exaggerations.

4. increase efforts to set an example to the rest of the world on climate change, and put more money into researching long term solutions like nuclear fusion.

5. Above all else, put social justice back at the top of Labours agenda, rather jump on every band wagon that might persuade floating voters or unconvinced Tories to vote Labour.

To be honest I can't really see brown implementing any of those measures before the next election. If he did, I might just be persuaded to vote Labour again. I doubt it though

In all honesty Gordon Brown can do 2 issues to hold back recognition to the Labour occasion:-(i)Gordon Brown to renounce the management of the Labour occasion.(ii)The Labour occasion to call a wide-unfold Election in June!

Having been the principal robber of our incomes for the past ten years I doubt it. People are slowly beginning to realise that if the economy is so good why are taxes so high?. Brown has done the smoke and mirrors routine very successfully for ten years but I think the chickens will be coming home to roost very soon.

No and No. Blair has sorted out some problems in this country and made more - crime is up, the armed forces are in meltdown and we will all end up working till we are 70 because of the radical spending of Gordon Brown. Bring back the Tory's, they aint perfect I know, but will spend our tax payers money better im sure.

No way..let someone else take the reins, a completely new government will do better I think Labour has had plenty of time to get this country moving. the BEST THING THEY DID WAS ASK THE BANK OF England TO CONTROL INTEREST RATES THE WORST WAS NOT TO ABOLISH INHERITANCE TAX
