I think it's true that that's the way it is everywhere. Not just the US. We have popular media to thank for that. Everything in tv, movies, music videos, etc, now days sends the message that it's going to happen, it's ok and acceptable to happen, and that it's more or less just a part of life. The "sexing-up" of today's youth culture by idols such as Brittany Spears has only accelerated this negative phenom amongst children. Traditional values in this world are a thing of the past and society, the media, and parents are to blame.

I would say yes it is the "American" way... just check the Internet and chat rooms ... married people are always looking for an affair or a one night stand, I hate this part of the American culture

Personally I feel that alot of famous, rich, people have cheated in some sort to get where they are now, whether it be they lie on a job application, stole company money or things, lie about a co-worker to get his position, they all have done something to get to the top because that is what power will do to you........

Nope... lots of countries do it....
But their probably saying that it's the U.S. 'cuz they blame them and are jealous because they're so freaking richer in economy than they are... which is almost always true =)
But, it isn't fair to blame the whole country, it's really those the people in America who have "cheated" that gives the country a BAAAAAAAADD reputation...

It is the capitalist way. Therfore as the US epitomises capitalism cheating will, inevitably, follow.

I'm not too sure. You might want to ask Barry Bonds or Mark McGwire about that.

It is. Sad, but true.
You can't really blame any one party for it, either. People are success-driven and want to win above all. --And their moral and ethical training is weak.
