Do you mean Sharon Stone? Her breakout role was in "Total Recall" and the movie that made her a star was "Basic Instinct".
She had been acting for years before she got her big break though, and had small roles as the wife of the "Highlander" in the first movie and the Ryan O'Neil's love interest in the 80's award winning movie "Kramer vs. Kramer".
