Aw man! This guy was the most egotistical person of all time! He called himself the sun king, and had 2 bedrooms, one on the east and one on the west side of the palace. All his attendants would witness his going to bed in the western bedroom as the sun set and applaud as if he caused it. In the middle of the night he would move to the eastern bedroom where his attendants would witness his rising with the sun. Just about everything is gilded in gold, and there are numerous statues of him.

All the pomp and splendor that surrounded him--huge paintings of him on the walls as "The Sun King"; the abject size of the palace and grounds; stuff like that.
