Well he's american, but I guess what you're referring too is the name. I actually heard that the name is italian, but I could be wrong. Certainly the name 'Leonardo' is Italian, but I'm not sure about Dicaprio. Certainly sounds italian. Look him up on the web, and you'll find the answer for sure!
