I sometimes wonder why does it hurt so much when someone criticize something you deeply believe in ..? For example, I can take as an example, people that believe in Islam , Mouhammad or Jesus or christianity or whatever the faith, they are unable to accept people doing criticize on their faith ...!! but, I really know what happened and what's going on, it's something going in their mind...a christian feels like his head is bumping or his brain is in pain when someones tries to prove something contrary to his belief ...and vice versa for Islam, and other faith people can believe in ... what is happening on a psychological point of view ...? For example, I notice that I cannot unbelieve in christianity to accept something else... why ..? do you think , this also has something to do with education ?

If I were you,I will not be bothered about criticism that is not useful to me. Why will I get hurt of their opinions? As long as they are not responsible of my being,I don't care about their criticisms. I believe on LIVE AND LET LIVE.

That seems to be a big problem in religion: people feel hurt because someone else dares to question their (unfounded) believes.

Probably it has to do with insecurity, deep down many believers know that every religion is only a man-made story, their book (Bible or Quran) just a book written by man more than thousand years ago, and that there is no evidence whatsoever that after death you will somehow continue to live.

Having been told from a baby that things are so-and-so and that you are not allowed to question anything doesn't help a lot either.

Education (real education) will help these people to start questioning their own faith, and hence they will become more tolerant of other views, more critical of their own and in the end more enlightent believers or atheists. This however appears to be a slow process (although in western Europe nowadays the biggest religion is No religion).

Education in the sense of doctrine (bible school for instance), just makes people more brainwashed

I am grounded in my belief that peace has more to do with love and honesty proving that God exists. Peace is what He preaches tho we fight when we shouldn't and don't when we should because we allow ourselves to become inhibited which we all should work on.
