I can only imagine the level of anxiety you are feeling right now while waiting for your turn with the interview... and I do wish you well. Some things to consider while answering your questions:
Definitely remember why you chose this field in the first place... it's all about the client. There is a huge need for psychologists and you have a lot of compassion and service to offer to those in the community. You want to empower and encourage people to perform to their potential.
As a psychologist, you will be able to perform the tests and formulate diagnostic impressions that will be used to determine the level of care given to the clients... this is important because it is the basis of their treatment and recovery (quite different from just being a counselor, where you are not always able to help determine the initial level of care).
Also, remember that knowledge of diversity is crucial because by knowing the attitudes, morals, and beliefs of a culture, you are able to make a better determination of what type of treatment approach to take.
As much as the school is interviewing you to see how you'll fit into the program, it will be beneficial for you to see if you think it is a good fit as well. The PsyD program will take a lot of time, effort, and not to mention money... ask a lot of questions to ensure you make a solid decision based on what program and school is a good fit for your interests and goals as well.
I hope these ideas give you more confidence while you interview... it worked for me:)

Come on now. If you got this far, where you already have a degree under your belt you shouldn't have much trouble. Just relax and speak with clarity. Do a mental exercise of what you've learned in your major, what you intend to do with it and what you think the graduate degree will do for your career. Think of why you chose that specific institution, is it because they are the best, the most prestigious, one that you personally respect or think will open doors for you. What can you do for the institution? Why your field of study? Do you bring anything to the table for that institution? What are your strengths? How far do you see the degree taking you in life? If you had to make a different choice, what other educational or career options do you have? How have you prepared for graduate school and are you flexible and ready for the field of psychology? Psychology is an area known to be full of big headed snobs. (Sorry, had to be honest.) Are you ready to interact and still rise above it? I wish the best for you. We need more good psychologists.

i finished college in 2002 even as i became 16 and went on to school until eventually 2004 and studied for a level. After that, i began operating finished time (and also have a rather good activity). by technique of the time i finished college i became 19 and couldn't stand the concept of more suitable training. i wanted to make funds, flow out and get a vehicle, flow on holidays etc. Nope i don't be apologetic about something. I continuously have self belief that in case you actually favor to do something, you'll do it. And so that you won't be able to look again and picture 'I wish i could accomplished this...' - because in case you'll truly wanted to, you've got accomplished besides! I do look again and picture that perhaps i could have accomplished issues fairly otherwise yet who the hell is conscious what they love to do with their existence even as they are in reality 16? and that i did not flow to college, yet over the perfect 2 years I particularly have studied with the Open college (area time getting to understand) and accomplished classes in well being & Social Care and newbie's Italian - so it truly is in no way too overdue besides! My advice to absolutely everyone could be, be prepared to artwork flat out for what you want. in case you want to achieve, you are able to placed the attempt in. And the biggest issue for me to be, is being chuffed. BQ: 26
