yes they will. when my car broke down the other day, i made the taxi driver take me home while driving in reverse. when i got home, he owed me $34.50.

Not on anything past about 1957. The odometer is designed to give accurate miles on the vehicle in order for someone not to be able to say it has less miles on it. It is also a federal offence to tamper with the mileage.
