Personally, I drive my car (I'm a tube driver) but for those without cars there is a staff taxi service. However, it is not door to door. It runs similar to the tube lines so some members of staff actually have to change taxis at certain locations!
Of course, this only applies to those on the extreme early/late shift, ie the drivers of the first/last trains. Otherwise, we catch buses and tubes like everybody else.

The majority of busdrivers walk, drive or cycle to and from work when they are on early or late shifts. However many companies have a special bus which does a circular route picking up or dropping off workers. Driving of this vehicle is normally done on a rota basis by drivers who have their own transport to and from work.

They use the special bus that is invisible to the general public, it drops them in bus driver land every evening, some sleep on back seat of the bus and tube because home life is not so good because of the poor hours.

They drive. Most public transit companies will offer free parking for employees. And the ones that work odd hours can't rely on public transit, so they need cars. I worked the graveyard shift and I'd see them driving home all the time.

Drive. I was going to apply for a bus driver position and it stated that you have to have your own transport as you would have to be the first bus to leave!
