Under the present situation no permanent solution of any issue is possible by use of force. Any gain is temporary. Solving of issues through negotiations are effective. There is hardly any chance of success for groups waging war against lawful Governments.
Most sufferers in a war are poor peaceful citizen including women and children. No body is winner. Say 'no' to war. Always settle differences through negotiations.

This question is fraught with problems. It depends on the war. A war based on race is wrong because the people cannot change it. A war based on faith divisions also doesn't seem like a good idea.

A war to free people, like in Iraq or Afghanistan is fairly noble, it's just the follow-through that has skewed results.

So it matters based on intentions and outcomes. In the end history defines both.

Iraq War = bad
Vietnam War = bad
Korean War = bad
WW II = good and bad (saving Jews great, dropping 2 atomic bombs on innocent people in Japan is the single most horrific act committed by any country as an act of war)
WW I = mixed results
American - Indian wars = all bad
Civil War = great war

it's just plainly bad! it causes destruction and threats and casualties. it's terrible!! you look at all the wars that hav takin places in the past and all of them hav all been frowned upon. after the war it leaves the economy in crisis and several families lose money and relatives and can not make a living. my own grandmother was lucky enough to survive WWII since she is jewish. it's terrible but unfortunatly i don't think many people can stop it from happening. there is always someone who wants to cause terrible things in the world and the only way to get rid of them is to join the battle in war.
