A few things I didnt see answered. What was in the brown envelope given to the shrink? Who's baby was it? What side was Mark Wahlberg on?

The envelope had evidence against Matt Damon's character. Leo told the shrink that if anything happened to him, to open it. Inside probably had a copy of the evidence and probably asked her to give it to Wahlberg's. It had to for Wahlberg to know that Damon was the rat. With that information, Wahlberg knew who was ultimatley responsible for Martin's Sheen's death.

Evidence of Leo's undercover work,,,given to the Wahlberg character, that's how he knew who to go after...Mark Wahlberg was a good cop, who resigned and avenged his mentor's death. The baby,,,who knows.

THANK YOU...for having the same questions i did...well it doesn't matter who the baby daddy was cause they are both dead...i think mark was more than just a cop to avenge the death...cause he was in hit man attire...i thought that scene was funny though...Damon had to pause and take a minute (maybe to accept his fate) and then said ok...I just wish someone would have told me the ending before i saw it...i hate endings that leave you asking questions...
