short answer is no. Very few games right now are compatible with vista and a lot of game makers are working with directx 10 which is only available with Vista. So you will either have to use xp for awhile and play your games or get Vista and not do much of anything for about a year until more vista games hit the market

Yes . Every Windows has a Program Compatibility Wizard in Accesories which enables the computer to run any games or educational CD from Win 95 to 2000 & XP.

You Sure?

I know for a fact that 'Games For Windows' Work...

I also would imagine that most other games will work too, maybe you may need to add a patch or summin.

I have a game that dates WAAAAAAYYYYY back from the days of MS-DOS and it still works on XP, so I cannot imagine why a game from XP would not work on Vista.

I do not actually have Vista (Yet) But maybe some one else does and can answer definitely.

short of there are very few games working with vista not because of direct x10 but the opperating system. but there are some graphics cards that you can buy that come with direct x10 so you could still have a good gaming experience with xp.

There will probably be issues with some of them, mostly due to video card drivers, and other compatibility issues (not to mention dozens of bugs that Microsoft is letting their customers find).

I would avoid it for the most part - at least until they figure it all out.
