My girlfriend told me yesterday that her sister and cousin both think I'm gay. I wouldn't mind being called gay if I was but I'm not. This really hurt my feelings and I'm still reeling from it today. I'm in a lot of pain right now. I don't know what I'll do about it but I guess I'll have to avoid her sister and her cousin from now on. Please help.

what is the reasoning for your girlfriend's family saying this? i am kind of curious? are you spanking other guys tushies or talking really feminine? my husband's really good guy friend swats my husband on his hind-end more than i do. or maybe her sister or cousin are jealous because your girlfriend has a great person and she's happy and she don't spend as much time with them anymore?!. and you should be insulted with whatever someone says negative about you. so anyone who is gay or bi-sexual don't be offended that he is insulted. i have red hair and my whole life i heard "beat you like a red headed step child". people say it and that's all there is to it. i have a female cousin and she's a lesbian. she's one of my favorite cousins and always will be!!! some of my family was shocked when she came out. i laughed about it, because when we were teenagers, i would look at guys and she would look at guys and girls. good luck with the sister and cousin. females can be vicious when it comes to not spending time doing girl things!!!

People assume that I'm straight all the time and it does sometimes tick me off that assumptions are made, so I can understand where you're coming from to a certain extent, but to be insulted is a bit much dont you think?

You are not gay and you know you are not gay. Why are you letting this bother you? It's not really and insult. Don't take it as a shot against your heterosexual manhood or something. Get over it and move on.

Being called gay is NOT an insult. You need help in your priorities. Perhaps you should not be a drama queen and that would help how you're perceived by others.

Just simply tell them you're straight! If they won't believe you, then don't mind them. BUT: Why in the world, would consider being called gay an insult? I wouldn't be insulted if I were called straight!

Don't pay them any mind. You know who you are. They obviously have nothing better to do with their time than speculate about you. You should feel sorry for them that their lives are so empty that they have to ponder on others' sexuality to get their jollies.

ok this is probably one of the reason they think your gay. why are you getting so upset????? why are you in a lot of pain????? your being a drama queen and that is a gay trait. instead of getting upset over it, maybe you should examine how you act and say "oh ok thats a little gay maybe i should stop that"

it is not an INSULT but a hurtful comment from someone you referred to as a 'friend'.

how close a friend? if she is close be humble and let her know you are not gay and you are very hurt by the comment... talk it out and get past it.

No need to avoid them dude. If they call you names again just pull down your briefs and scare them with your love monster.
