I don't know who, but I heard people did it when mother humans were unable to make milk for their own babies and then they liked how it tasted and decided it was good for us.

Although, feeding a newborn baby cow's milk is not a good idea.

I don't know, but as a child I would spend summers with my aunt, and we would milk the cows and drink right from the kettle.. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM good! the milk would still be warm straight from the cow! ♥

I think that they started raising them for meat and then decided that the milk and dairy products they could derive from milk would be a good source of protein too.

I've often wondered the same thing. We are the only species of animal that drinks the milk of other species, and drinks milk beyond infancy. Quite peculiar, if you ask me.

it would seem a pretty easy connection from the human's to a large animal's milk production by watching the baby animal.
