Does your rabbit have long ears? because long-ear rabbits carry their ears down giving them the "flop ear" look. You can check the ear to see if there is a build up of dirt or signs of ear mites or feel around the base of the ear for any hard lumps under the skin that may be hidden by the fur. If you don't see or feel anything but your rabbit tends to shake its head alot there may be a infection inside the ear cannal or debree lodged inside the ear that you can not see. If so, you may want to have your rabbit seen by a vet or if you want to go another route you can gently flush out the ear with a light saline solution and hope it clears up the problem.
As far as birds being too loud for your rabbit, I don't see it being a problem. I have parrots and rabbits and the rabbits don't seem to mind the squacking at all. However, if your rabbit is next to a bird that never stops screaming it may start showing signs of stress, who wouldn't? If thats the case just move one or the other into another room. I hope that helps some.

One of my rabbits had this problem too at one time--I just left it alone and now it is not like that. If the ear looks broken and never stands up call the vet!! I dont know abou the birds. I imagine the birds wouldnt hurt bunny there are birds everywhere outside chirping around my bunnies all day!!!

maybe it's ear is permanetly like that. my dog's ear is like that, and it's not a health issue. i really wouldn't worry about it unless your rabbit looks in pain.
