Society has been marred by too much political correctness which has given people a distorted view of what is just.Government spin has not helped either. To be socially just one has to be evenhanded towards all sections of society which clearly is a point we have not reached yet.

Rules are made up the participants of the society. Learn your Machiavelli.
,Machiavelli argued that princes should use cruelty, deception, and other such devices to strengthen themselves in the eyes of their people. 'Machiavellian' has since come to be applied to one who uses deception and opportunism to manipulate others, but this does a considerable injustice to Machiavelli's far subtler view of the relationship between ethics and politics. His fundamental belief was that a strong state was necessary to achieve all other human ends.
In other words bash them before they bash you and don't get caught!
