Not at all. An associates is worth approximately 1/2 to 2/3 of a bachelors and 2 degrees are only slightly better than 1.

The way schools and employers look at it is by credit hours. A bachelors is 120 credit hours and an associates is only 60. Even if you take more, you won't have the upper level courses and the critical thinking skills that come with them

yea dude... who cares about an associate's degree when you have a bachelor's

most jobs require the bachelor's, get it

a few employers go by credit hours and only require 60 credit hours or an associate's degree, but 2 is definitely not better than 1 in this case... go bachelor's...

To put the question in another perspective, what is better 2 Master's degrees or a Ph.D.? The Ph.D., because it is higher and the highest of all degrees and no matter how many Master's you have you will not be able to be called "Doctor" or teach at the Master's level

Like someone else pointed out, a bachelor's is more focused on an area and includes those upper-level undergraduate courses which show your critical thinking skills... associate's degrees include few, if any upper-level courses which is NOT a good thing... it is not good to be a jack of all trades, master of none in this situation.

If you are looking through the eyes of someone hiring at a company, a bachelors degree is "worth more." Why? A bachelors degree proves that you had the will to take on a 4-year project, started it, and saw it fully through it's completion. It shows that you have motivation.

In my eyes, two associates degrees tell me that the person is 'unsure' of what they want to do. Although that might not be the case, it's definitely a possibility.

Even crazier - a colleague of mine has 2 bachelors and keeps getting turned down for managerial positions. why? The managerial positions require at least a masters degree. So you see, even 2 bachelors is not worth a masters. Again, this all depends on what the person plans to do with their degrees.

No. In almost all cases, I'd say a bachelors degree is better for getting a job.
