Hi write something like the below, if you threaten companies with legal action 9 times out of 10 you have them listening to you.

Dear Mr Jones

I am writing to you with regards to my job loss, I feel that my dismissal was unfair and would like a full enquiry into this. Whilst working for your company I have always showed willing been punctual and an asset to your company.

I feel that if the decision still stands then I will have no other option than to seek legal advice, as you appreciate this will not be necessary if I have a full explanation of my dismissal.

I await you responce.

Need more info. Did the employer go through the 3 stage dismissal process and did the employee appeal and if so what was the outcome?
If the employer did not go through the process, then that is reason enough to take the employer to an Employment Tribunal (even if the reason for the dismissal was fair).
No point in writing to employer and arguing the toss, go straight to an ET. The CAB will help you if you are unsure.

Depends who you are writing the letter to. I would have thought that in order to seek wrongful dismissal you would have to consult a solicitor who would act on your behalf and submit the letters themselves. I would seek legal advice before writing to your ex employer as it may damage your case.

contact industrial tribunal yourself. solicitor is not required and could possibly charge up to £2000 for a full hearing win or lose. apply online for forms. tribunals are informal. they are also very helpful if you choose to speak to them by phone. but they do not give advice or opions on your personal circumstances
