How long have you been lifting? Is it your muscles or your shoulder blades? If you haven't been lifting for a long time, or if you have kicked up your routine....or tried a new lift....then it is probably just sore muscles. Take some Tylenol or something...and maybe ice? Hope it gets better!

Work your back. In most cases shoulder pain stems from a muscular imbalance. Most people do a lot more presses than pulls which pulls the shoulder girdle forward and puts stress on the shoulder which results in pain. I made the mistake of neglecting my back while over-doing pressing movements and ended up having shoulder surgery. Lay off the pressing for a while and concentrate on getting a bigger stronger back and see if that helps. It has sure as hell helped me. Here is also a good article series with some tips on conquering shoulder pain. http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=06-074-training, http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=06-075-training, http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=06-111-training

rest by lifting smaller weights for a while. Keep the muscles moving so they don't get stiff. Take ibuprofen for the inflammation Tylenol stops the pain, but doesn't help the inflammation. aspirin works, but only for about an hour.

Take a few days off. If your shoulder doesn't hurt from doing bench.. then focus on bench press. You will indirectly hit your shoulders. Maybe try light dumbells instead of doing shoulder press. If your shoulder hurts for awhile, then I'd take some time off.

take a nice warm/hot shower and do some nice easy stretches to stretch out the musles. Doing more stretching and warmups before you lift weigths next time should reduce the pain of the workouts and you'll be less likley to get injured. .
