I just spoke to one of my best friends. About 6 years ago, right after she had her son, I babysat for a night so she could go out with her husband. She came home a little buzzed and I joked to her, "I better take him home with me. I don't want him to wake up to a gin-soaked mother." (She really wasn't that bad, I was teasing, of course.) But we laughed and sat up and talked for a couple hours. It was fun. Like we were in junior high again.
