We can only get away for 4 days at a time... I suppose we could go stay somewhere on Lake Erie - but I just wondered if anyone had any other ideas... surrounding states? I normally think of the ocean when I think of vacation... Any help would be greatly appreciated... we hope to go somewhere near the 4th of July week... :)

My family and I go to a place called Oglebay in West Virginia. (I grew up in Geauga country) This is not some hick resort either, it's lovely, cabins and villas for rent or a lovely lodge.
Lots to do, inside and outside. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something fun, different and not too far away. I linked the site for you.
It's not near the beach, but it's so beautiful in the mountains and there is a lot for kids and adults to do here, and really close to Akron, but far enough away that you feel like you are on vacation.

Just getting out of Akron for 4 days is vacation enough!
Try the sprawling metropolis of Campfield or the beautiful lush rolling hills of Chauncey.
If yi ou are really adventurous, hop a plane to St. Louis and check out the VP Fair.

Akron and Stow are perfect next to one yet another. I stay in Akron. relies upon on what component of akron you are attempting to flow to. in simple terms get on direction 8 and the signs and indicators on the parkway will lead you whereever you're able to be able to desire to flow. in case you wander away, provide up at a gas station, maximum persons be attentive to the place there are stepping into the event that they're in akron. i think of its a job requirement at gas stations to be attentive to the section. sturdy success

Knock on your neighbors door and demand they set you up a impomtu bed and breakfast with all the trimmings and if the decline make their life hell! Leave trash in their yard, when they aren't looking steal their newspaper, ya know things like that.
