Well, here's a fun one called Electricity. Split the class into two groups, facing one another in long lines on the floor. They hold hands--eww! boys/girls! You'll survive. At one end, a person who is not in the game is holding an object in between the two last people--it could be a roll of tape, a ribbon, whatever you have on hand. On the other side, the teacher has a coin. Everyone closes their eyes except for the two players closest to the teacher. The teacher flips the coin. If the coin is heads, the two players who are watching pass a squeeze down the line, and the person on the end reaches for the roll of tape. Whichever side grabs the tape first wins. But if the coin is tails, the squeeze is not passed. Therefore, everyone is on alert, and sometimes the wrong signal is passed, and sometimes it's not passed quickly enough...once a player has grabbed the roll of tape and it is confirmed that it was correct, that player moves up to the front, and everyone else moves down a spot. The first group to cycle everyone through wins.
