and do they just use the sprays you buy in the shops?

i have 2 rats and a hamster but they dont have fleas. i have recently moved into this flat and the only way we have got them is if they were left from the ppl who was here before

Hi,

it costs about £40. My parents had to have an area of our house (2 rooms) fumigated after our dog caught flees. I guess it might vary if depending on how large the area is that you need fumigated but hopefully that will give you a general idea.

Oh, and I'm 99.9% certain that the stuff the council use is not able to be bought in shops.

go to the vets they do aerosols that you can spray on the floor & car[pets its abit dearer than the ones in the pet shops but it works better & kills fleas for up to 6 months after one spray we use it be couse we have a dog

Visit your local council offices, tell them the problem, they have a department which looks after such matters. I'm sure that they will advise sensibly.

Your local hardware store should have flee bombs they cost about £ 5.00 each. one per room, they work. the council charge £ 40 . If private rented ask your landlord to pay.

Vets sell different household treatments that are very effective and they will give you the best advice too.
You also need to vacuum regularly.

phone your local council for health & safety or pest control & they should do it for free if u have just moved in.
