I have seen that pattern on www.knittingpatterncentral.com. Go to hats. I found it when I was looking for a free beanie pattern.

i don't know exactly but i DO know that there are books for purchase at craft stores. even book stores have them. i used to knit like an animal. you've made me wanna start again and make those beanies, they are so freaking cute.
