My husband has been lying to me since we got married almost 2 years ago. He has been "trying " to get things back on track but is constantly screwing up. He is a recovering addict that has been through rehab and jail. He just can't seem to lose the habit of lying to me. The lies are about nothing in particular- just stupid stuff. But I can't Share my life with someone that constantly lies to me.

I am in a similar situation, 2 yrs now and the lies havent' stopped, seems like every few weeks something comes up. he is also a recovering addict and has been in jail once for a fight we had, he went a little nutso! He keeps saying he will change but just last week I found out he hasn't filed taxes in 10yrs and owes LARGE money (found out after they came knocking at the door looking for him so who knows when he would ever tell me himself) and a month ago he went on a coke binge, despite saying he never would again...blah blah, I am, realizing it will NEVER stop but I can't afford to move on, what is keeping you there? insecurities? finances? children? Those are my 3 reasons.

to me thier can be no love without trust and visa versa in your case it seems as if he is overcomming allot of obstacales getting off an addiction is a hard feat to accomplish. you have to expalin to him how important trust is even the littlest lie is still a lie this might just be another addiction i would say give him some more time to kick this addiction no more than six months and see weather he has improved or not though still i would not put trust into what he says until he can prove that he can earn your trust back

To error is human but to forgive is divine you know who said that jesus christ did! he's on to something men are dumb we make mistakes time aqnd time again but generally our hearts are in the right place we're never gonna get it right and if you can come to terms with that then it'll make a relationship stronger so take it easy on the guy if you see him making an honest effort cut him some slack its impossible for us to be perfect

If he is trying and improving the lying may end.
