The best advice is to be true to yourself. Learn from others but be yourself, don't try to be someone you are not. Also, trust yourself and know that all the answers are deep inside if you would only take time to think things through to see exactly what is right for you. Never do anything that makes you feel ashamed of yourself. Make sure you can look in the mirror and still respect yourself and always do the best that you can in every situation so that you can feel that you have given your best, even if you fail.
