I've been home on disability for a while, and I want to get back to work.

Physically demanding jobs are totally out, as I'm still somewhat physically weak, and cannot stand or walk long distances.

I need to work to get out of the house and be with others, rather than staying home. It's too depressing!

What jobs would you recommend for someone just getting back on their feet work-wise?

Thanks.

I don't want to join a sales from home program that is just a pyramid scheme, although I appreciate the input, that answer is just more of an advertisement than an answer

Start applying for office style jobs. You will be at a desk, the work in physically easy, although mentally demanding sometimes. If you have no experience, start with receptionist positions.

You might consider starting your own business and working from home. Last year I started my own home based health and wellness business sharing proprietary products that are pure, safe, and beneficial. They are formulated in Switzerland, made in the US and target 6 key consumer markets. There are over 350 consumable products giving you a nice residual check rather then a 1 time sale. This is where you're going to make your money. My sponsor now makes more in 1 month then she did in an entire year. It's a secure and stable company (been in business 27 years), debt free with a low $29 start up cost, no territories to limit growth, no inventory, no sales requirements, unlimited income potential, free on-line training, on line support, committed leadership, Mercedes Benz car program, free trips and vacations, on line and toll free ordering with direct shipping, with the most generous compensation plan in the industry. Anyone can do what I do. There are no degree requirements. We have doctors, lawyers, teachers, stay at home moms, stylists, etc. doing this business. We share premium products and an opportunity. The company is booming with an average of 111% growth every year since 2002 so now would be an great time to get involved. If you're looking for positive teamwork and changing other people's lives, this might be a great fit for you. I will be happy to help you learn more if you're interested. Good luck.

I think you might consider getting a customer service job. You still get to meet and talk to people and get out of the house. I am referring to the customer serv. desk so that you are not standing on your feet all day long. Try your local mall, malls usually have a customer service desk where you would be seated and usually not hidding in a cubicle. Hope this helps to give you and idea. Good luck and Good health to you.
