I have just installed Window Vista Ultimate. Have tried downloading drivers from Gateway; but nothing seems to work. Computer does not seem to Recognize my sound card.I get this message:
" No Audio out put device is installed" please help

did u run the compatibility check BEFORE INSTALLING vista like it says too?..did u update ur drivers first?is ur sound card built in?
have u tried going to windows updates and searching for hardware updates...instead of critical updates
did u dual boot vista with another o.s.?
if so...boot upo the other operating ur sound should still work
find out what kinda sound card u have....then go to that website and download to the drive that has vista
now reboot to vista
install drivershopefully that will work
if not..reinstall vista
this time run the compatibility check
and make sure all drivers will work
also
if u are familiar with torrents
u can download
driveragent pro
it will search and update all drivers for u
