it all depends on the type of fabric and color. "goof off" removes pine sap but if the fiber is synthetic, silk, or bright colored-it may fade.

Option 1: First take an ice cube and freeze the sap till it's good and hard. You should be able to remove chunks of it that way. Then if it's not all gone, try good ole WD40. That should remove the rest. Rinse the WD40 off with a vinegar and water solution and don't wash the pants with anything else until they have been laundered once. The WD40 can transfer to other clothes.
Option 2: Googone, found in grocery stores
Option 3: Tea Tree oil quickly dissolves the sap. Then hand wash the clothing to remove the oils.
Option 4: Rubbing alcohol blotted should do the trick.

turpentine will take it out. get at ace hardware on every corner in the good old usa. like john madden says, ask the friendly foks at ace!
