One thing is to win the game, for that you have to score more points than the other team. Not always the best team wins the game. The best team can have more possession and still loose the game. In general the better team has more possessions and wins the game

Id have to say yes!
I think that if you have the most possession you are the best footballing side however the best footballers do not always win!
Take Arsenal for example they are easily the best footie side in the premiership! However as the last couple of seasons have proved its the teams that scrap out results get the points ie Chelsea.

Best is a broad term. One might think a team with the most possession is the best, while anothers might say its the team who wins. Some might say it's the team that works the hardest, the team with the best deffense/offense, the team with the ebst players etc. There's no definite answer to this question. For some it could be a number of qualities put together.

The history books certainly don't mention who had the most possession.
Only the results, trophies and championships stand the test of time.
Even though on Saturday Liverpool were the better side the books will show a Man Utd win.
HOWEVER>>>> Man Utd still have a long way to go before the history books can show them being anywhere near as successful as Liverpool - THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ENGLISH TEAM EVER!!!!!!

Generally, yes, the team with the most possession will win most of the time. That's not an absolute rule, though, and you will find many exceptions.

The best team is the one who scores the most poins and wins the most games, including the final one (championship game).

its about a great offense and even better defence..
you can hold on to the ball all day long, if u cant put points up or stop the other team from doing the same, you got nothing but a loss.

no the best sides defend well and use possesion well.
look at united on the w/e that is how you win championships. not playing well away from home but grinding out what was a good draw and then nicking the win in the final minute.
