Open your FIrefox. Go to tools.. options. Select the main tab.
The lowermost option on this tab should be "Always check to see if firfeox is the default browser on startup". Check the box next to it. This will ensure that each time firefox is started , the system checks if it is the default browser.

Also click on the "check now" option next to it. It will tell you if firefox is your default browser. If not you can choose the option " set it to your default browser".

Hope that works.!!

In firefox go to Tools>Options and click the button to see if firefox is the default browser. Once you do this it will be the browser to open. If you click on the "Internet" icon that is linked to IE. Click on the firefox icon to get to the internet.

How are you opening it....yes you can have it configured as your main browser, but you still have to open it. You click on the firefox symbol instead of the explorer symbol to start up the internet

Hey,
You can download the latest version of Mozilla Firefox from here http://j.mp/1p6kpSH

Mozilla Firefox is one of the world's most popular web browsers and, to me, it's the best.

Hope it helps.

open a firefox browser, click TOOLS>OPTIONS, under the General Tab, check the *checkbox* that ask if it should check to insure that its the *default browser*... check it, save, exit... Next time a browser opens (u click a link or open an html page or ???) then firefox should open as ur defautl browser...

Go to "set program access and defaults" off the start button menu.... ie. click [START] then select [SET PROG. ACCESS AND DEFAULTS] (You'll see the option under the control panel option) Click on custom and you should find the options here - this is all assuming you're using WinXP with the classic look.
