I am not trying to put anybody down. I just heard that pink clothes is popular now with guys. I don't know any straight guy that would buy pink clothes, I know there are some that do, but I don't know any. Also in the last few years there has been quite a few gay tv shows and movies. There has also been a lot of celeberties that have come out of the closet. It seems to be a fad or trend rather than awareness. What are your thoughts?

I presented this question the wrong way. What I wanted to ask is do you think the US is becoming gay but I figured I would get a lot of crap over it.

My son is 12 and last year many of the boys started to wear pink shirts. It seemed weird to me but it was the fad. I've even seen pink shirts that say "real guys wear pink". Clothes and shoes and hairdos and accessories are always fads/fashion trends. So I'm concerned about it. He outgrew the shirt and never asked for a new one.
I don't think being gay is a fad. Gays have been around for thousands of years. But I think many people have sex with same sex just because there isn't the opposite sex available, like in prisons, the old pirates on ships that went months without women, ship wrecked men on island for months, etc. These men will say they aren't gay but can't go without sex. The media is pushing gayness and since America has freedom of everything, gay people are fighting for equal rights. I personally think this gayness is the devil working through humans to reignand humans are sexual beings and they are giving into this sexual temptation. Same with porn and sex with children (NAMBLA). Premarital sex. Sex is sin of the flesh and in the past 20 years we can see it coming forth fast.

i think that pink clothes and whatnot is not what makes you gay. if you are a man sleeping with a man, you are gay. humans decided what is for men and what is for women. but when we were born the only way to determine what sex you were was your genital. not the pink or blue blanket your aunt got you. you make it seem that once the gays come out the closet, they are going right back in the end of the year. its not a trend or fad. it is what it is

People were gay long before they came out in the news and sported pink shirts. Its just been a way of life for some people. Some are just more open about talking about it than others now a days.

I believe homosexuality is a part of our and all cultures. I took an anthropology class in college that said that homosexuals were are part of a culture that were non-breeding "helpers". You can believe this or not, but I think that the color of clothes a person chooses has nothing to do with his/her sexual orientation.
I am hoping that this "trend" you speak of is an opening of the collective mind of society and acceptance of a part of our society.

Dude .lol ..i dont think any of my gay friends would wear pink.....I think the shows and celebrities coming out are depicting what has been around for centuries....this isnt new and just been recently invented....people are being themselves and its being more accepted instead of having to resort to staying in the closet.....

i don't think we are going thru a gay fad. i just think the world is more accepting of homosexuality. Also i think we are becoming so sexualized and people are more open to/open about being experimental.

I don't think that the US is going through a 'gay trend'. I think more people are more comfortable nowadays with who they actually and it doesn't matter to them who knows it.

Pink shirts that are fitted look hot on a guy in blue jeans. Only, I don't call it pink, I call it coral, and it justifies itself in my head.
