Accounting firms typically have an a PRO whose title may vary; things like Business Development Director, Director of Client Services, etc.

Whatever the title, the function is basically two things:

a. find new potential clients and hopefully sign them on.
b. once they are clients, work with them to keep them happy. This means frequent contact to assure that the work of the accounting team is satisfying the client.

There are many small nuances within this description, but overall, this is a very good summary of what is required of this position.
