Sirius radio was given to me WITH service for 9 months. Will I have trouble activating it now that it ran out?

Since the radio is registered to our friends who didn't need it, can I even activate it as my own now?

As long as they're not owing money on their account, it should be okay. Activate online at sirius.com and save yourself $5! If it won't let you activate online then you know there's an issue with the radio and you can call Sirius customer care about it.

suggest you call sirius and aslk them directly - figure that they will require a valid credit card to activate you
