The technics organ i have been given has a problem whereby when you turn it on there is this continual heavy bass sound, although the organ actullay plays well.Any ideas what the problem is and the possible solution or have i been given this organ because it is knackered?

Since I don't know which year, or model, I'm just guessing. These are highly computerized instruments. It might just be a small chip, it could be a dirty contact issue. If it is not too heavy, you should take it to an authorized repair shop. Even if you have to put some money into it, since you got it for free, it will still be a good deal. They are nice instruments, with good sound.

Mains hum, a horrible fault, a stuck key or the Leslie Unit/simulator is a bit knacked.
