Sorry to say it phoenix fans, but the mavericks are just better. Stop hatin on Cuban and just deal with it. That goes to all you other Mavericks-haters. I don't understand why everyone hates the mavs so much, I know the NBA wanted Micheal Jordan....ooops i mean D.Wade to win the title last year to get the ratings up, maybe thats why after 2 blowout losses the Heat just magically turned into gods on the court.

What was done last year is done. D-Wade did what he had to do, but I guess the prospect of repeating was a little bit too much to put on his "shoulder" (pun intended). The reason that the Mavs are so good. are becuase of 3 keys.
1. Defense- When Avery Johnson took over the team some time ago, they were a poor man's version of the Phoenix Suns, high-scoring run you out the gym. He practically transformed the team into a defense-first mentality. He's intense and he commands the same brand of defense.
2. The Bench- Dallas was a deep team last year, and it got them into the finals, but this year's version is not only as deep but it's more battle tested. The Spurs had to have Ginobili come off the bench to compensate for that. I bet you that when the spurs and the mavs face off, Ginobili will start again, believe that. The Mavs are the only team that if you split up their 10 man rotation you could get 2 starting quality lineups.
3. The Mavs actually have a "big 3" again Jet Terry, Josh Howard, and of course Dirk. If you add Jerry Stackhouse off the bench you have another that can put in about 20 a game if necessary.
Home Court- The Mavs are 29-3 at home, 29-3! And if anyone remembers, 2 of those losses were when they lost the first 4 games of the season, so to be 29-1 at home is huge. To think that the Mavs won as many games AT HOME as the defending champion Heat have won all year.

They aren't so much better.
Pre-Nash injury, the suns had essentially the same record as the Mav's and have lost a few of late due to Nash Injury. Lets see the Mavs lose Dirk and win a game!!
Ask me that question come playoff time!!

The Mavs are better because they play solid defense. Champions are made with a solid defense and the suns don't play defense like the Mavs.

Mavs aren't better. Statistics right now don't mean crap!
Once they are faced with each other in the playoffs, than we will see.
I think that this time around it is going to be the Suns who make it into finals.

Suns in my opinion are better. Although the Mavs have some great weapons. But weapons alone don't win games. The Mavs are a great team but the Suns I believe are better. Because they know they cannot beat San Antonio.
Oh, and I hate D-Wade and the Heat also, but um Dirk and the Mavs just choked last year. Nothing more. Dirk just sucked it up; he hasn't proved he can win the big ones.

No no longer that quickly, provide them 3-4 years they're going to be decrease back in playoff competition. you'd be shocked how some draft alternatives and loose company %. united statesreplace the entire face of a franchise
