The ones with many episodes written by Darin Morgan, specifically season 3. See "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose", Emmy winner!

Season 3 really captures that same kind of surrealism and absurdity mixed with every-day banality that shows like Twin Peaks and The Twilight Zone embodied.

Aside: William Gibson of Neuromancer fame wrote the episode "First Person Shooter", also good!

That's tough to choose one, 'cause I like them all. But, if I were to pick one, I would say that the best one was around seasons 3-5, somewhere around there. But, the other ones were just as good.

I agree. Season 3 is when the show really starting taking off on "tangent" episodes that didn't follow the main plot of the series. Really creative stuff.

i like them all. 5-7 are the best for shippers but 9 had some good ones too.
