Mine are usually short too (I have "mom" hands!) but you will be amazed at how great they will look after a manicure. The manicurist will shape them, trim your cuticles and polish them and your hands will look great.

If you're talking about having tips put on, then your nails will have to have a little edge on them, enough for the tip to be glued onto, or so the nail tech can use acrylic to build up an artificial nail on a form. If you're not sure, go have a regular manicure which doesn't cost too much, and ask for suggestions. Then you'll know how long they need to be and the manicure will be a nice treat.

Have fun!

No there's no certain length for your nail, the key to get them to fit your life style, ex- if u do a lot of typing or work on a cash register, longer nail may no be as comfortable, active length works great.

No they dont have to be a certain length to be able to get them done.... if you're referring to acrylics.
However if you bite your nails and have extremely short nail beds ,it's more likely that they could come off or get lifting. As far as the length of the actual nail enhancements you choose that when you're getting them done althought i would recommend to stick to a shorter length and as they get longer and you get them refilled, you can choose not to shortened them so you slowly get used to the longer length.

no....they can be short...they will just clean them up and give them a good shaping....that is if your getting a manicure....if your getting fake nails...there must be about a 1/16th of an inch for them to sculpt a nail.
