You have no idea what you are talking about. Did you know that since the Iraq war started we have had an INCREASE in service members signing up? Probably not as you wouldn't have heard that on the Communist News Network or CNN for short.
They have been signing up for the ARMY ALONE at the rate of 80,000 per year not to mention the other branches. Also, that is just new recruits not reinlistments. Are you really dumb enough to believe that the 100 thousand military members in Iraq is the largest capabilities we have? Apparently.

Spreading rumors and fear mongering are what socialists do.
There will be no draft. Today's military is far too sophisticated to be able to use a bunch of halfassed malcontent conscripts. It takes a long time to bring people up to speed on the weapon systems we now employ in the Army; even motivated people. In bygone eras you may have been able to draft someone, show him the basic rudimentry way to fire a rifle and point him in the right direction. That is no longer the case.

You forgot to specify "engaging Iran in such a way as to yield an outcome more encouraging than the way Iraq turned out", hence the responses you've gotten.

Man I don't want to see another Iraq, but I would be ticked to death to see the draft come back. All the little Mommas boys AND girls may learn to appreciate what a nice country we live in and what it took from thousends of brave men and women so the little turps could live the way they do.. Bush has actually invited Iran and Syria to the table to talk about Iraq.. Diplomacy.. finally.. I am not a Bush fan, nor have I ever been.. but he finally did something right.. and I think you will see our relations with Iran improve due to it.
