Try looking at the Occupational Outlook Handbook - it's published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This will give you a national average, broken down by what type of institution the LPN is working in. http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos102.htm

For a local average (by city) try this link from Salary Wizard. - I'm not particularly familiar with how Salary Wizard collects its data, so it may not be quite as reliable as the OOH. http://swz.salary.com/salarywizard/layouthtmls/FL/swzl_compresult_state_FL_HC07000004.html

This site has a higher average salary for LPNs in hospitals (about 60k) - and offers a job search engine. http://www.studentdoc.com/florida-nursing-jobs.html

Good luck!

Go to the on line version of the Newspaper in the Town/City you are looking for and look in the Jobs section under LPN.

Miami Herald
St Pete Times
Tampa Bay Tribune

Those are all of the ones I know...
