Okay, first of all I'm a black and I'm really thin. So, when ever black guys see me they say dang are you anorexic, which I know I'm not but can't do anything about it and when white guys see me they saw you have a nice shape. My question is why is it more acceptable to be thin around white people but not so much accepted around blacks?

i had a gal like you and she was anorexic...she was a sweet girl and she always went with guys like me...big and overweight..but she was terrified of gaining weight..
she worked in a Holiday Inn and my best lady friend (the one who introduced me to her ) told me she took the left over food from the plates of the people who did not eat all their meals...well, i used to eat at her house...but when i found out this i was ill just thinking about her weird habit.
but getting back to your question...most people prefer a full bodied man or women but we all envy the people who are slim like you are..if i had my choice i would be exactly like you and so would my wife..and she is not really that overweight but she is always complaining about her being puffy..so go for it girl..you rule

Because society and the media make people believe what is beautiful. You have white celebrities that are skinny (not all but most) and that is what is thought of as beautiful and you have more full figured black woman that are thought of as beautiful in the communities. Both cases lead to a perception of what people "should" look like and creates a lot of insecurities within the females of both groups. People all have there own taste in what the find beautiful and need to stop letting the media dictate that to them. Most black girls dont look like Beyonce and most white girls dont look like Paris Hilton...so be who you are and forget what catagory you are suppose to be in

It is weird, isn't it. Perhaps because most female white stars are stick thin, while there are plenty of beautiful bootylicious black stars. Us white people need our own Beyonce and Tyra!
