Since it's a French theme party, the best costume to wear, even though you're a man, is to go as a French maid. Have fun, take a chance & dress-up as a sexy girl who's wearing a French maid uniform.

LOL that sounds like fun. I'm being serious. Why don't you go in as a mime.

They are very popular in France. As well as artists. Go as an artist. A french one.

OOOOOH I have a great idea. Go as a Cavalier. Perfect because you don't have to do much dressing up. The outfit will say a thousand words. Simple black dress pants and a cavalier shirt. Like this one:

I would even buy a sword to go along with it. Enjoy!

If you're brave then go as a French maid!! I believe that if you search for French maid online, you will actually find more pictures and costumes aimed at men than for women!

Without going to a lot of expense you could easily go as the guillotine executioner. Black clothes, a bit of scraggy black cloth round your neck as a kerchief and a black scarf tied over your hair and head with slits for the eyes. Otherwise you can go to one of the fancy dress establishments and see what they have on offer.

What about "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". Just need to stuff a pillow up your back. Simple.
