I've heard the "it breaks up families" argument, which is of course, hollow as these are families who obviously are only together because society has pushed them into an unhealthy relationship that can only bring both parties lonliness and pain. It's also useless because, sure, no heterosexual has ever broken up a marriage, therefore heterosexuality destroys marriages, doesn't it?
Also, the AIDS argument that gay sex spreads disease, completely ignoring the fact that it isn't the act that creates AIDS, it's carelessness, not to mention HIV is spreading most rapidly among straight women, statistically.
The only other non-religious one I've heard is: It's yucky. Great point, huh?

See the thing is. Even though they say its not about religion. It kind of is. They should keep religion out of the government. As much as they say homosexuality is a choice, they have no proof that it is or isnt a choice, so they should not act on it. Same as if they think a man murdered somebody, but if they have no proof that he did or didnt they cant do anything about it legally. I think they should consider that. Another arguement is that you can mary your best freind (same sex) and get insurance benefits. But cant you also do that with the opposite sex? I mean really, people need to think these things through. I'm a christian and I do believe that there should always be a seperation of church and state, no matter who believe what.

The only one I've ever heard is about gay marraige and they feel that people will be able to screw over insurance companies and such because if you have a best friend of the same sex you could "marry" them and get them full benefits and tax write offs and such........I'm not saying I agree with this but it's one that I've heard

I don't think there are any, so that is why the religious right always throw the bible into the ring when the arguments begin. It seems to be their only trump card they have.

I have not heard any specifically unless it is on marriage. You should not treat any person differently because of who they are

Exactly....The only argument they're going to have is that the idea of a homosexual relationship disgusts them, or that it's "not natural", hardly a basis for witholding rights to any person.
