Just wait until ATI bring out the R600 card then you wont need Crossfire (apperently its 3 x more powerful than the xbox360 chipset)

Out in about May... it will be worth the wait !

First, why on earth would you even consider this?

The 590 series only lasted about 3 months, and they use an outdated chipset. The 680 series is much, much, much better, and not any more $$$.

Second, if you want to run ATI cards, then get a CF board. If you want to run SLI, then get nVidia cards. You can run either card in either chipset, but not SLI/Crossfire. Each chipset has unique instruction sets that allow the two cards to work together. So one or two cards will each work fine, just not together.

However, if you really insist on this, hunt around and you may find some custom drivers out there that might work.

No offense, but based on the fact that you are asking this here and that you selected the 590 board probably means you will fry your mobo if you attempt it.

you need a crossfire board to run ati cards . they will not work in crossfire mode on an sli board. why would you buy an nvidia board and ati cards?? just stick to one or the other . ati cards dont really like going on nvidia boards anyway. plus they are pants and nvidia are far superior.
