As a conservative I would ordinarily prefer to give to charity myself instead of having the government steal my money and deciding to give it to Planned Parenthood or the NEA. However, since liberals seem to value carbon credits and since perception is reality in establishing the value of anything, carbon credits must be pretty darn valuable. So here's one entitlement program I can live with: create a government welfare program that would give the poor carbon credits... then reduce my taxes. What do you think?

Sure, give them a boat load of carbon credits then Al 'the greenie' Gore can buy them.

Carbon credits? Anyone buying into the idea that a carbon tax is a good thing cannot possibly be a Conservative. The whole man made climate change hoax (global warming) is simply a move to raise taxes on the productive in order to redistribute wealth to the nonproductive. Carbon credits should be discredited as an idea that will somehow miraculously make the world a better place. If tomorrow all mankind were to stop industrial activity the climate would still change. Any further give away to the unworthy poor should be opposed

It sounds good but libs will not agree. Their argument will be that the poor have no use for the credits because they do not produce enough to use them. Then they will say that the poor will not know what to do with them or if they do.

that would only work if they were then able to sell the credits to the rich at double the market value :)

You know it! ..... it's always good to get out and bike.. middle of the woods.. 10-15 miles.. makes you feel all good.. and then off to the bar to undo all the good I did for my body :P

you have to start by putting a cap oncarbon emissions...and I am not so sure you want to do away with things you don't agree with...otherwise, cons will have to fund the war, and dems can fund social programs. If this sounds good to you, you have no clue how much we spend on either.
