Being American, I am ashamed of our countrys involvment in this illigal action. george bush is responsiable for the murders of more innocent Iraqui people than saddam could have ever imagined. He ruined their entire infastructure, culture and lifes. He had and has no business in Iraq. He is also responsiable for the deaths of over 3000 americans and countless maimed and wounded soliders, marines, and innocents. He has brought civil war to the country. Surly the Iraqui people will survive his intrusion and havoc, but it will be a long road to recovery. We as americans need to speak out and stop this violence, murder and blood shed. Now I am not saying that the Iraqui death squads are innocent, they are only aggravating the situation more.. All in the name of greed and god. I did not capitolize the word god because no God of mine would ever be responsiable or have anything to do with anything like this. God said, I am Known by many names, Just Know I am He.

The new plan will only succeed if the USA continues its protection and funding of the Iraqi people indefinitely. That, in my opinion could mean upwards of a decade. I once heard the phrase; "Fighting with some peopel is like mud-wrestling with a pig; after awhile you realize the pig thoroughly enjoys it!"

No , for the simple reason is that you cannot build a country over night...such recent post civil-war country's prove that eg. Vietnam, Ethiopia , even go as far as Germany , Ireland ! The people themselves must want it , and decide which way the country's fate will go. As the old saying goes , " you can bring a horse to water , but cannot make it drink it " !

I see no new plan that will succeed in Iraq. They hate each other and I seriously doubt they will one day wake up and say "oh, that is why so many USA lives where lost here. Sorry we were wrong".

i don't understand. we've everlasting bases in France, Germany, Japan, Bermuda, Cuba, The Philippines, Korea, Diego Garcia, Greenland, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey, Korea, Iceland, Honduras, the South Pacific Islands, Antarctica, etc. maybe they prefer us to adhere around a collectively as...in simple terms in case. It’s as much as the loose governments of those international locations to verify whether or to not enable us to loaf around for a collectively as. not a bad theory.

(Build and Rule)

In time a new regime will develop there, but it will never be a democracy like the USA model. At best it will be a benevolent dictatorship like all the rest of the middle eastern countries.

It seems the Islamic radicals are not interested in anything but killing anyone different from themselves and they are creating more radicals then ever. How can we possibly succeed?

Unfortunately no. They are in a civil war and we are in denial of that. Include the interference of Syria and Iran in that equation.
I am a patriotic American and I am not optimistic.
