Same here, I understand your problem! I still have very oily skin, and even still have breakouts. So I basically avoid moisturizers at all except in the winter when it's very cold and dry. For that, I use Mary Kay's oil control moisturizer, it has a nice "dry" feel to it and won't cause oil slicks. It doesn't have any of the "anti-aging" ingredients that some of the newer products have, it's been on the market for some years, but I like it and it works for me.

For the breakouts, I use MK's oil control toner, again an older product but when used sparingly, will not dry out your healthy skin and really works on pimples. It contains salicylic acid. Most people do not believe I'm 50, usually they will guess my age at 35 or so. I always give credit to my oily skin, I believe it prevents many wrinkles:)

I try to concentrate on the areas around my eyes, which have worse wrinkles anyway, being without the oil that the rest of my face has. I use a combination of products, depending on how tired I look and how big the bags are! Garden Botanika has a good one for puffiness, Anti-Puff Eye Balm, they also have one which I haven't tried called Anti-Aging Eye Cream for wrinkles. I also have allergies to deal with so I often have bags and puffiness, and the anti-puff cream is good for that and also moisturizes. Benefit has one called Eyecon, which I use when the skin around my eyes feels dry and tight, it's quite rich so a little goes a long way but it seems to smooth the wrinkles and also helps with dark circles.

Another thing I try to do is stay out of the sun, or at least wear a hat and dark sunglasses. Very boring but unfortunately it's necessary.

Good luck, I hope some of this works out for you!

The best type of skin to have is oily! why? because oil/grease in ur skin keeps the skin subtle and moist leaving you with less wrinkles than with someone with say dry or sensitive skin!

If you have oily skin like you or me, it is best to go through many different products to find the right 1 if your acne/spots are only minor.

if you have severe acne then you may find that the easiest way to get rid of that is to go to your GP/Doctor so he/she can give you a strong enough cream or tablet!

I have oily skin and get the odd spots now and again and i use the L'oreal range - face wash, exfoilator, toner and de-greaser moisturiser. this is the best 1 i have ever tried! :D

But whatever you do, DO NOT use CLEARASIL PRODUCTS because using this for a short amount of time maybe good and seem like its working but in the long term the effects are that it removes the o-zone layer just above your skin which is not good because your ozone layer on your skin protects your face from UV rays, if you do not have this layer it put you at higher risk from damage from the sun, which can also cause skin cancer!

Hope this has helped you, Good luck! :D

FIrst off, you must treat oily skin as sensitive skin (my dermatologist told me that)...use a very gentle cleanser; Dove and Caress soaps are good for oily skin, due to their pH level...better yet is Cetaphil, but dont get the national brand, just go to any drugstore and look for their own brand; (Walgreen/CVS, etc.) always right next to the Cetaphil..same exact ingredients, lower price!!...then wash with only warm NOT HOT or COLD water; just comfortably lukewarm...use your hands to wash your face and wash your hands before you wash your face!!..rinse rinse rinse with slightly cool NOT COLD water and blot dry...use your oil free moisturizer only around the eye area, you don't need it all over!!...twice a week, give yourself a baking soda exfoliation (save your money; the big brands are all just the same) yes, baking soda.with acne, just do not rub those areas, but use a very light touch; ..to use, leave the lather on after you have cleansed your skin; pour some baking soda in the palm of your hand, and add water, few drops at a time, to form a slight paste; not too runny!! then start at your forehead, and using circular motions, go all over your face; repeat three times, then rinse rinse rinse very thoroughly, with COOL not cold water;the whole idea is that you are exfoliation but doing it GENTLY;no hard scrubbing..... blot dry then proceed to your next step, the moisturizer....trust me, this works; I've had oily skin for years and now in my 60's it's finally calmed down!! drink lots of water, stay away from sodas, ear MORE FRESH fruits and vegetables (yeah, I know; you hear it all the time, but it's true!!) and give it some time....

Try using tea tree oil.
It's much better than any other creams or medicated lotions you will find.

Tea tree is a natural medicator and is fab for oily skin.
You don't need to use moisturizers if you have oily skin.

For anti aging try to do 2-3 facial exercises a day. You will feel the benefits soon.
It really works and costs nothing.
